So my story is crazy ! I didn’t know how bad anxiety and depression can be until experiencing myself ! Basically my life has been a messs - a few years ago son got addicted to porn was sneaking other males in our home - I found so many sex toys in room it physically made me sick and made me turn away from everyone in my life !
Parents are elderly and in and out of hospital one diagnosed with cancer of not making it - college daughter finds out boyfriend of 2 years sleeping with best friend in the mist of all this I find out my husband of 26 years is having an emotional affair and texting a girl two years older than daughter-he comes clean is a complete mess and try’s to commit Suicide. We have went to counseling and it helped some he feels terrible and wants to make our marriage stronger and commit but my problem is a trust issue - my anxiety is terrible doctor wants to put me on Paxil -? My question to all of you that have had anxiety how do you control not going to the “dark” places in your head and replaying things ? I know this is where my panic attack start and my anxiety is terrible when I replay things in my head ! It’s been almost a year since all this and although things have gotten better when I replay things I’m a complete mess ! Any help or suggestions I would so appreciate as I am just recently diagnosed! Thanks

That's a lot of environmental factors to cause anxiety. If you take the drugs from the doctor, you may become dependent on them. Plus most drugs have side effects. Something to consider. You could try meditation instead to let go of ruminating on the events that trigger your anxiety. If your husband went to the extreme of feeling suicidal, he probably won't make the same mistake again. He has punished himself. If you can convince yourself that you can make a fresh start in your marriage, that would go a long way towards relieving your anxiety.

Yes!

This has helped so many with anxiety and depression: Taking magnesium (magnesium malate is best) and ginseng help a lot w both, they calm the mind body and spirit and get rid of sticky negative thoughts the loop around in the mind. Also, getting outside, laying on the grass to get grounded and breathe deep in fresh air, looking at stars, these things help a lot too. Our environment help or hurt our mental health and physical health. Speak aloud positive truths to counteract the negative thoughts and things said to us. Also, Volunteering helps us get our of our own misery to help others, which helps us. Call those negatives a lie and correct them to yourself. Protect yourself from those who put that added stress on you and go out and do new challenging things, take classes, go to meetups. Learn new things, meet new people, it will get you out of the pit. Hope this helps you, blessings!
