Nice to meet you KyliesBoyfriend. Welcome to the forums.

What was your psychosis like, did you spend much time in hospital for it and what medication if any do you take?

Mine was terrible, hearing voices of people coming to kill my family and I, so much paranoia and delusions so I spent 9 days on a ward for acute mental disorders.

I'm currently taking 10mg Aripiprazole and 4mg Risperidone.

Hi NWiddi, thanks for the welcome, the psychosis was severe with voices telling me to act as a hitman I also have hallucinations and I spent two weeks in hospital January 2018. I was on Haliperidol, Zopiclone and other stuff now I am Aripiprazole under the care of the early intervention team.

I've been under the care of my Early Intervention Team for two and a half years now, they seem to be very good at their jobs here. Their doctor always gives me the medication I need, my care coordinator really cares and is always on hand should any needs arise and their support staff are really great.

They even run groups every week so the clients can all get together and enjoy themselves and learn about each others experiences, we have a walking group on Tuesdays, social group on Thursdays at our local football stadium facilities and a pool group on Fridays.

Tomorrow instead of social group we're heading out to the peak district for a full day of walking and visiting Chatsworth House in Derbyshire.
