I don't know if swearing is allowed so I'll refrain from doing it. I'm so fricken depressed, fed up, despondent. Life is hard and it doesn't ease up. I'm finding it so difficult to keep going. I'm a single mother to 3 young kids and trying to finish my masters degree. I'm struggling, my house is a mess and my mind is a mess. Loss of motivation and i just want to curl up and..well you know the rest.

I've been recovering from complex PTSD and I was getting to a good place but then it all came crashing down on me.

I met my dissertation supervisor earlier, came home, cried for an hour, went and got my kids from school and then came home, hid and cried some more.

To be honest im struggling to articulate my feelings right now. I was searching the net in desperation and it lead me here.

Welcome to the forum!

Masters degrees are alot of work - well done for getting through to the end! I have a BA(Hons) but a Masters must be even more stressful. Dissertations are a challenge, I struggled too, but it'll be worth the effort you've put in when it's submitted. Does your course finish in June?

You're almost there, you're doing great :)

Hello
Thanks for the welcome.
I'm part time so I have until September to submit and graduate in December.

It's not just the dissertation, it's everything else on top. I'm usually very optimistic but have been crushed today.
Things have been hard for a while but today it got too much.

My mother raised my sister and I all her life, you can do it! The fact you're actually going for your degree is while parenting on your shoulders is stellar. I hope I'm not throwing platitudes around because my mom hated that.
