Hi

So...if you strongly suspected you had cyclothymia or bipolar 2 and you get zero support from nhs, and you work with someone you get on with who is a registered mental health/psychiatric nurse and has said they are there if you want to talk...how would you broach the suspect of your suspicions without sounding like an idiot?

Do you not get any help from a pysco doctor ? Maybe ask your doctor for a referal - it cant help to ask again if you've been down that route before....But regarding your question if you've considered it all and do want to go ahead with it all then i suggest just asking them outright and try to keep it as professional as possible...

Thanks for the advice, appreciate it. Was referred to a psychiatrist in March 2009 and still waiting. My doc chased it up 3 months ago and all they could say was that I would probably be waiting months, and doc said there wasn't anything else they do for me. I'm up and down at least once a day now, its so mentally shattering!
