Hi
My mum is on a section 3 and has Alzheimer's. I am nearest relative as she has been separated from her husband for several years. They have remained friends and he wants to move in to look after her if she goes home. Mum agrees as she really wants to go home and I work full time including night shifts. I don't mind either but I am concerned as I want to remain nearest relative in case things go wrong again. Anyone know where I stand?

:welcome: to the forum

So sorry no answers to your question either.

CAB would possibly help.im presuming you are UK based.
Or maybe someone will come along here and have some experience of this.

Wanted to say hello and sorry to hear about your mum
Best wishes.

You could ask to talk to social worker at hospital, should be able to advise where you stand. Presume you have power of attorney? Agree, CAB could help too, or perhaps Age Concern/similar. Sorry I don't know much.x
