My solution to Anxiety

I have suffered from anxiety for since childhood but only realised what it was. I have found lots of relief, after a lot of self reflection.

The first thing I did was to start and understand when anxiety was worst and least. I made a note of this and this made a big difference

When is it least
  • After swimming/sports
  • When doing intensive work
  • Talking to people who you like to spend time with
  • When walking in forest/nature
  • Gratitude: Thinking about all the things that you already have in your life
  • Giving gifts to friends etc.
  • Think about what you rather have happen rather then what might go wrong. E.g "the pipe has burst in my kitchen, what if it become a major disaster" rather then thinking "the plumber is an expert will come and fix it and everything will be back to normal."

When its most
  • when other people are shouting
  • When I have too much caffeine or sugar
  • When I am with Negative people
  • When I am worry for the sake of worry!

The most important thing though for me is I just made a note of my anxiety level out of 10 every single day. Just this awareness helped so much.
