There are plenty of people on here who truly understand John. It can be something you live with though. Look up DBT Dialectical Behavioural Therapy online and see how some therapists are addressing it. Its a VERY good therapy for people with BPD

Hi John!
What symptoms of your BPD do you find difficult to manage? When were you diagnosed? Have you undertaken any therapy or intervention so far?

Hi luci,

There's a lot I struggle to manage with to be honest, the feeling of loneliness, self doubt, the extremes like one day I feel I could lead army's and the next struggle to get out of bed, but what am really struggling with at the moment is how and can I deal with this for the rest of my life it seems like an eternal battle within that s never ending, I've only just recently been diagnosed but really knew for awhile just found it hard to seek help, am currently waiting for appointment for counselling, sorry about going on and on

Thanks
John

Don't ever apologise! That's what your forum family are here for ♡
I felt exactly the same when I got my diagnosis, and the feelings dont go away, you just learn to manage them better, learn coping strategies. You will have good and bad days, we all do.... don't beat yourself up about it. On the days you don't feel so good, be kind to yourself, set small goals, even if it's just having a wash, walking to the shop, spend some time doing something you enjoy.
Are there any voluntary services you can access in your area while you wait for your appointment? Learning to understand yourself and strategies that work for you is the best way forward for now. Waiting for services can be frustrating and set us back. There are a few books which I have found interesting and helpful, I will post some links 👍🏻

Hopefully this will be a good start for you. Remember you are not alone in how you feel ❤
