First I heard was when my dads business partner rang me, cuz he'd collapsed at work. I had a 3 month old son at the time. So obviously my priorities were different.
I only knew he was on the oncology ward because I rang to find out how he was on the Thursday and the nurse answered " oncology ward"
Anyhoo, whichever way it goes, whether it's long or short it's hard.
Keep posting. Support is always there. 💐💐
What a horrible way to find out about your dads illness and not much time to make sence of it before his passing.

I will do, a small weight has been lifted since joining this forum and being able to share some of this overwhelming stress and mess whizzing round in my mind.
Thanks greebobeebo x x

I know a guy who had a colon cancer with metastasis on his liver five years ago. He is still alive and ok.

I do not want to give you a false hope, but you have to believe to some extent that things will be ok. Either she will be cured or her life will be prolonged. However, you should provide your mum with love and it will help her in her path towards better health.
I'm not sure if it actually has spread yet but hopefully my mum will get results soon and we can talk it over.
I intend to be supportive of my mum, I know she must be feeling so terrified and panicked inside, whilst just putting on a brave face. Breaks my heart.
I don't want to be negative, I'm just used to bad things always happening.
Need to stay positive for her.
Thanks Dch x x

Just wanted to update for those who read and sent kind replies.

My mum has got cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). Its rare and aggresive. Thankfully she will be having surgery to remove the tumour a week into the New yr. And then after she has recovered, will be having chemo to kill off any remaining cancerous cells. Trying hard to be strong for her and hoping for the best. She's being so brave. 😢

Im still scared shitless (Sry for the bad language) And feel as if i'm living in some never ending nightmare. God knows how my poor mum is feeling..She's holding it together so well. Feel so much for her, but she is determined to fight it. Praying and hoping for the best for her.

Why does my mum have to go through this!?? I feel as if me and my family are cursed. Already lost so many relatives due to this disease. And others plagued by mental illness. Life isn't fair!

Well fuck! I'm so sorry to hear about your mums diagnosis. 💐
Its fucking awful, doesnt matter whether there is a positive or negative outcome.
I hope that you have a better result than I did.
I will hold your hand and think positive thoughts.
