I was in my late teens (I'm 63), sitting at a table and tuning in my radio. I happened upon all but the first 15 seconds of this track, and I was sobbing, deeply, by the time it ended. This is better than any religious experience, and has remained a diamond-studded part of my reason to continue living! [ "Verbis defectis musica incipit." - "Music takes us where words cannot!" ]
In the earliest of the 1980s, I was still a Pagan and had deep interests in all branches of the paranormal. I constantly hunted down all musics that would reach down within me and make a change to me, because I believe that music really does weave a genuine spell, even if it's the same track, even if it's listened to incredibly often. This track is from Clannad, and I'd love you to have it, too. Y' know how some music is played by you so much that you tire of it? I've played these pieces, every day, for many decades, and it never happens with them. I think it won't happen with you. Let me know.
If you want to, or need to, cry, but can't...this could well cure this period of you feeling that way, quite easily. It's from Edward Grieg and is called "The Last Spring". Imagine...if musicians could recite poetry with their instruments, and this piece will make more sense. If it upsets you, instead...STOP listening and do something else!
