Hi suicideangel,
This sounds stressful .... is it PND or something else?

I can relate a bit to PND although I think mine may have been birth trauma related.
As for losing your child....no can't relate to it personally....but I would say that most babies are viewed as needing Mum.

I hope that you get some replies and can work this one through.
Please fight for your little one.

my understanding is that the whole point of such units is to keep long term mothers with their children. I know people get scared but all services are in the business of trying to keep families together long term and work with parents to do this as this is usually what is best for children, ok sometimes this won't happen but really it is certainly not the aim, certainly the aim of mother and baby unit is to keep children and mothers together

Their focus will still be wherever possible to keep mother and child together, even when children go into foster care they have to give you every chance for them to return, they may focus on the best for the child but that is usually aimed for as the mother, the best thing you can do is work with them the best you can to get well and to work with them in the best interests of your child and learn what skills they feel you need and co operate, the more you work with them the better
