Certain mood stabilizers usually help improve symptoms of depression, Lamotrigine and lithium are two I can think of off the top of my head.

I take lamotrigine without antidepressant but my pdoc recently added citalopram. Haven't taken it yet. I'm nervous about taking it. Take two antipsychotics as well as the lamotrigine. Been on meds for years and never took antidepressant because I'm prone to high moods as well as depression
