I'm new to this, scared and lost. I am currently taking ecitslopram for "depression" I feel this is a misdiagnosis . I have frequent episodes of hysteria with crying and bouts of anger to the extent of violence . The scariest part is that I black out . It's like I just check out and wake up with a torn apart house, bruises and cuts. This can't be Just depression, I'm hopeful that somebody with similar experiences with a proper diagnosis might be able to help me find a direction to mental wellness... Thanks for listening

Hello,

I had the similar thing, for me it was the mixed episode. Depressive thoughts, raising, energy, sadness, lots of energy and anger. I was crying and walking fastly for hours at the same time. But no blackouts
Are you diagnosed with bipolar depression or unipolar?

I've only been facing my mental illness for a year and I've been seeing a PCP who decided to diagnose me with depression and is now leaning towards possible bipolar II. I made an appointment with a psychiatrist but he can't get me in for a few more weeks... I'm hoping a specialist can get me a more difinitive diagnosis as I can't imagine all of this being just depression
