9pm, Eminent Monsters, BBC Scotland. Exploring the history of government torture, and the Scottish-born psychiatrist whose work provided the basis for interrogation techniques used around the world.


10pm, Ghost Asylum, Discovery Science. Apparent hauntings at abandoned mental homes



Sunday

11:30am, Dr Sanjay Gupta, the CNN news channel. General health magazine show, often has mental health items



2pm, PS I Love Love You, Channel 5. A bereaved woman reads a set of backdated letters from her husband.



6.55pm, Yes Man, ITV 2. As a self help experiment a man decides to say "yes" to every offer!

10pm, Open 24 Hours, Sky Cinema Premiere. A woman with severe paranoia and hallucinations goes on the run and takes a job at an all-night gas station after setting her killer boyfriend on fire.

However, his new life is thrown into upheaval when his father moves in with him - followed by his apparently psychic care assistant Daphne.
