Mental health news this week

(sorry I haven't done one of these for a while)

Mind Management For You - Switching off - When your mind needs a break.

Do you ever switch off from your phone, your laptop or whatever device you use? With notifications coming from every direction, it can keep us switched on and on alert all the time. This can be unhealthy.

Here -

Mind Management For You - Our Attitude Is your glass half full or half empty?

I hope you are well. To finish off this month, I am writing about our Attitude! Our attitude is something we get to choose. If you decide you are going to have a bad day today – you will, because we get what we focus on. I speak about this in my new video series call ‘Tip of the week’ so feel free to have a look (2 min). Also please subscribe if you haven’t already to be part of our mental wealth (yes wealth!) community -

Suresearch Members seek participants for their research project

Research into spirituality and mental health problems in Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust

We are doing some research investigating how religion and spirituality affect recovery from mental health problems and we are looking for participants to help us.

We are, at present, interested in hearing from people who find, or have found in the past, their own religion or spirituality to be a struggle, with personal religious experiences that have held them back in their recovery. If this is you, then please seriously consider if you could help us. To take part you must have been a user of the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust services at some point, (not necessarily at present).

Participating in the study involves doing an interview to share your experiences with us and giving us some demographic details. You will have your expenses reimbursed and a small fee for your trouble.

If you think you might be able to help us in this way, then please contact one of us so we can send you more details and answer your questions. You will have as much time as you want to decide whether or not to take part.

Thank you in advance for considering this and we look forward to hearing from you.
