Hi, long term clinical depression and g.a d. sufferer (perhaps undiagnosed bipolar 2). I came here specifically to share a song to see if it resonates with the group. So I was surprised to see this post. Song is free and I'm not pedaling anything. My 20 year old son has been making music for 4 years now but doesn't think any of it is good enough to put out. Undergoing a major depressive episode right now, it hits home for me. Hopefully you will like it.
This is beautiful 💗🎵🎶

Certain songs make me feel sad. I do love music though. A lot of the groups from the 60s.

Billy Joel, strangely enough, as some things others have said bothered me, and I'm tired of feeling put down:

"I don't care what you say anymore this is my life
Go ahead with your own life leave me alone"

I see a man without a problem
I see a country always starved,
I hear the music of a heartbeat,
I walk, and people turn and laugh.
Is it in my head
Is in my head here at the start?
I pick up phones and hear my history.
I dream of all the calls I miss.
I try to number those who love me,
And find exactly what the trouble is.
I feel I'm being followed,
My head is empty
Yet every word I say turns out a sentence.
Make love to a stranger
Just asking for directions
Turn from being help to being questions.
I see a man without a problem.

I've found that some songs always improve my mood. Others bring up bad memories, but the good songs outweigh the bad.

Lots of disturbed songs resonate with me but one in particular is called the light. Here's the second verse and chorus.

An unforgivable tragedy
The answer isn't' where you think you'd find it
Prepare yourself for the reckoning
For when your world seems to crumble again
Don't be afraid, don't turn away
You're the one who can redefine it
Don't let hope become a memory
Let the shadow permeate your mind and
Reveal the thoughts that were tucked away
So that the door can be opened again
Within your darkest memories
Lies the answer if you dare to find it
Don't let hope become a memory
When you think all is forsaken
Listen to me now (all is not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light

Fliptrix - Life We Lead

When you're down to your last penny, stressing
Money ain't everything, make some progression
Tape some aggression, leave you by the wayside
Beef now is like a sea of arms like a stage dive
One's got a weapon, others gotta match it, had shit
To the map pointed at your damn wits
Stop telling fibs, stop telling kids lies
Yeah, they're mad enough to emulate others' lives
Hate thrives on the ignorance and anger
Twelve-year olds handcuffed
Yeah, man, it's damn fucked

“I had to make them changes, I hope you understood, you see for every bad, I did a ton of good.”

Sometimes we need to make mistakes/bad choices to make better ones.
