I fear the same but I just want to say to you youve not lost all of your support, I would imagine your gp will be your main port of call for the time being, ok time to confess I fear thd same I am 8 years under cmht but that cmht support is still their for you even though you may be discharged from outpatients.

I woild say keep your gp close. But that is really hard I know, your gp can refer you back in 20 seconds if needed.

Hello starflower

Sorry you are feeling like this. It is scary being discharged. Services are stretched so far they let people go before they feel ready. However as Umpalumpa says, people are often referred back, and this can be very quick if needed.

In the meantime why not look for other forms of support? Some mental health charities have group meetings, activities or befriending schemes. You could google search to see what there is in your area. Or look at the local forums here, which are being updated to show what is available locally.
