Losing belief in my goals/dreams

Hey everyone, I've been struggling a bit lately with this but have kind of been given an opportunity as well. Maybe this is the wrong site but it's all I've thought about for a few days.

I play football, had lots of trials when I was younger, didn't quite cut it. I've been playing Sunday League Football since then, training twice a week. I've been taking it more seriously than my team mates though and it's been tough because I've wanted to get somewhere with it. It's a low level and wasn't what I wanted.

Now a couple of days ago, I got in contact with a club. They've had players go on to play at a high level, they've got good facilities and have good, proper training. Problem is in order to get there I'll have to catch a 40 minute train and a 15 min bus there and back. The whole thing will take about 1 hour 30 mins, three days a week (one day I only nedd go do the journey back as I can get a lift there). A taxi over a bus will obviously shorten that. For away matches I'll have to do that journey and catch a coach from the training ground to the oppositions ground which could be like 5 hours travelling in one day. I could get an earlier train and grab a coffee or something and chill in town to break it up a bit but I dunno.

The other problem is the drinking culture the team has, most if not all will be local, I won't be and will have to get last trains. I can get a hotel for £45 but I don't even like drinking that much and im not sure if I'll fit in.

I'm not sure what to do. I want this so badly and it's probably my last chance. Should I go for it or not and how do you guys think I'll deal with all the travel and the drinking issue? For so long I've felt like I'll never go anywhere with football but now I've got this chance.

Thanks

I'd give it a go. If it doesn't work out you could just leave I am assuming? I think you will end up kicking yourself if you don't give it a go.
The travel doesn't sound that much, especially as it is something you really want.
I don't know about the drinking culture, maybe their will be other people who don't drink. And you have a reason why you don't drink what with needing to get home.
Good luck.

I'd give it a try. If you see it isn't working for whatever reason you can stop.
