Looking for yourself

Ok so there's some pretty heavy arguing going on hear and since the verses thread has been closed I'm putting it here.

To the evangelicals and fundamentalists if you want to find your Kingdom of God you won't find it through spouting Chapter and Verse, in blind faith and the persecution of sexual minorities. You won't find it brow beating others into submission with the threat of etrnal damnation. Your teachers lessons have become so distorted by men seeking their own power and grandeur that you have forgotten what he taught.

If you want to find the Kingdom of God you can find it in this life. By looking inside yourself in the quiet contemplation of people like St Francis. You'll also find your Devil there if you have the guts to face him.

The choice, as always is yours.

Hi someguy - I can't see anything in the thread above the post where you've written this that could be described as a 'threat' - what do you mean? (or are you thinking of another thread?)

Take heed written by Apotheosis, out of context is a threat, though I could have addressed that in a less offence way.

Before this goes any further can we please keep the personal arguments out of this thread and discuss the original topic before this thread gets hit with the stupid stick.

Jericho is right. Jesus himself said that the Kingdom of God is within you, and it has a lot more to do with the compassion and love that Maxitab has been talking about than about being right or wrong.

Invocation to my Goddess

"You are the beauty of the green Earth, and the white moon amonsgt the stars,
the mystery of the waters and the fire of desire within my soul.
You call upon me to come to You for You are the soul of nature and who gives life to the Universe.
From whom all things proceed and unto whom all things will return.
My beloved Goddess let my inmost self be enfolded in the rapture of Your infinite love.
My heart rejoices in Your worship, for behold, all acts of love and pleasure are Your rituals
and therefore let there be beauty and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within me

And I know, I who seek for You, that my seeking and my yearning will be in vain until I have learnt the mystery,
that, if that which I seek, I find not in myself, I will never find it without.

For behold, You have been with me and within me since the beginning and You are that which I will attain at the end of desire

So mote it be!

Beautiful Pentagram.
Cor....... Gee............... thanks Apo, nobody has said that to me for many years, I'm touched

strictly in the: touched - "very touched by the stranger's kindness" manner

and not in the touched - slightly insane sense

though I admit both are probably descriptive of me
