I recognise I am lonely a lot of the time. I have been single 2 and a half years. I live alone. My depression forces me into a hermit lifestyle. I feel quite like a hypochondriac as I am always feeling physically ill too. But this report explains why and it is real.

I agree, that forums like these are better than no contact at all.
It is good to have meaningful relationships in real life, but that's not always easy.
I think loneliness can end up in a vicious circle. Lonely - depressed - anxious - don't want to go out - lonely - depressed.....
