I have got an appointment with a Life Coach, who is part of the ASD service around where I live :)

I have been very fortunate to get it, cos it's come ahead of the approximate three-month waiting list. I'm not sure exactly what the service does and has to offer, but I think it's going to be good for me :)

I've not been on the forum as much, but I think about the place and the members quite a bit of the time :)

Life coaches can be a useful part of recovery... I have a psychiatric nurse / social worker who provides some support for me in that area. They help motivate you, find activities for you, that sort of thing, so they try and help you move your life a little bit out of your comfort zone!

Way to go Per Ardua! This could be a good step towards further recovery.

I have had my first meeting with the life coach. It was with my family, and it went very well :)

I also have another appointment very soon, so let's see what happens. It's going to be hard work, and it involves looking at development and traces steps, life rules and such. There's more to it than I initially thought. It's not about goals as such, but fitting mechanisms in place in what you do, and how you do it, to be able to reach goals as other people do :)

It's good stuff :)
