Hey, so im new. Started self harm about a year ago, went to therapy which helped. Yay! But things in my house are very hectic and though my anxiety and low mood has been kicking up recently, im still kind of calm.

So, long story short I lost myself for a month then was clean and mentally healthy for 6 months. And now ive relapsed due to whats happening in my house.

Cant really talk to my house mates about my SH because they've got their own stuff going on. One of my mates would definitely get triggered by me talking about it.

Im working through some ways to destract myself and stop self harming, I know its possible. I guess I just wanted to get my thoughts out there.

Thanks for reading, I hope you're day is going well and if not don't give up, you've got this!

Thanks, I appreciate that. Its a challenge sure. But its not impossible. Things will get better, even on the days where it feels like they wont.

I dunno, its good to stay positive, but I might just be babbling ^^;

I struggle with self harm on and off. I've been managing well lately, but it's definitely a harder struggle in a stressful environment. Do you have triggers that you can plan coping strategies ahead for? It can help your resistance to understand the root of your urges. Stay strong!

I'm glad you've been managing it recently, you've got this!! and yes I am starting to re-remember my triggers and coping mechanisms. I haven't had to worry about them for a while as I was okay, but now it's time to dig around my memories and my notes so I can find ways to help myself. I also had a panic attack today, thankfully I had a friend there to take care of me so no self-harm! but at the same time, it was the first panic attack I've had in 6 months. So it really wasn't great.

Thank you for the help though, I believe in you too, we've got this!
