Just had my PIP face to face

I finally had my pip assessment today, was extremely nerve wracking. I had someone from a mental health charity attend with me which was extremely helpful. I ended up really freaking out at first because when I first went in there was two people in the room the assessor and a trainee and I just couldn't be in a enclosed room with that many people so had to wait a bit longer to see a different assessor. the assessor was nice and reassuring although I'm still convinced she was out to trip me up, probably because what I've read about others experience. Took a list of my medications with me as well. Lasted overall about 45 minutes, I answered everything I could to the best I could with the help of the person with me. Although the assesor asked me again how I overall am day to day with things and I was confused why she asked me again? So I'm a little worried what that means? As she asked me again. She said the current wait (in my area) is 8 weeks approx. So going to be a really stressful wait.

I guess overall it wasn't so bad, just worried I didn't get my point across how I cope with things because I was in the midst of a massive panic attack and the past few weeks haven't been good for me overall anyway (relapsed with self harm)

Just wanted to share my experience, hope everyone is well today however. I'll update here with my result and what not.

It’s good that you had someone from MH to support you. That usually goes in your favour. I don’t think the assessments are quite as awful now as they have been in the past. I had mine a couple of months ago and I heard seven weeks after the interview. And I was awarded pip.
The thing is just try and put it to the back of your mind and don’t keep going over it just wait for the letter to come.

Yeah I'm trying to not go over anything but I keep thinking about how I didn't go into as much detail as I should for some things. When I was in the assessment the only thing I wanted was for it to be over and done with. so I feel like I missed out on saying saying so much stuff or not answering properly.

I was plagued with thoughts of what I didn’t say and kept on thinking I hardly mentioned my MH at all . It was all do do with my physical health but I got enhanced in both
