so you know that really tight feeling you get in your chest during a panic attack? as well as a bunch of other symptoms?

well, I'm getting those symptoms but I haven't had a panic attack yet. I've been 6 months without one panic attack and I feel like the tablets I'm on are holding my body back from giving me a panic attack. But at the same time, it's so painful in my chest.

At least if I had an attack then this pain would eventually release.

even though these tablets are good in a way for stopping the attacks, but I just, I can't. I feel trapped

Hiya. I think its time to go back to the doctor and tell them what you are experiencing. Obviously these meds aren't working for you properly. There are loads of different meds so no doubt they can come up with another variety.

Have you thought about getting to the root of why you are so anxious? Some therapy can also teach you techniques to counter the anxiety and with practise end it altogether. Have you ever thought about that? Just an idea.

Hey, I did end up having an attack, it wasn't great but it was my shortest attack I've ever had, I think it only lasted about 5 or 6 minutes which has never happened before as usually my attacks last anywhere between 15mins to an hour.

I have been to therapy for anxiety and low mood already and at the time it was incredibly helpful (One of the reasons why I've been mentally sound for the last 6 months) but due to some things happening within my household right now, my anxiety and low mood has been triggered again. Something similar happened about a year or two ago. So I'm just now getting used to having anxiety again, as I had very very little amounts of it over those 6 months, a few small spikes here and there but nothing that wasn't manageable.

Unfortunately, things are really bad in my house at the moment but I think you do make a really good point. I think I will definitely schedule an appointment with my doctor to at the very least talk about some of these things and what I can do to make it better.

Thank you very much for these suggestions I really appreciate them, now to just start focusing on ways to keep my mind healthy and my body safe.

So after that attack I didnt sleep till about 4am woke up at 2pm and got absolutely no work done. Its about 7pm now? Gonna eat, and try to sleep early to fix this pattern before it messes up even more. Otherwise I might just have to stay awake for 24hours...fun

I often end up staying up till 4 am and its no joke the next day when I am feeling so exhausted, but I force myself to get up and not switch around the clock. My sympathies.

thank you guys, I appreciate the support. I have kind of fallen into this cycle of being awake till 3 or 4, im also not a morning person and struggle to get up on good days so yeah thats fun. But nice to know im not alone in this.

Ive asked one of my housemates to knock on my door when they get up at 7am so hopefully I can drag myself out of bed and get some work done.

Gd luck to everyone else dealing with this <3
