I'm a bit of a nail biter and sort of do it when i do unknowingly. I self harmed so bad yesterday the harm lead to a painful result. Think it is developing into a problem. Sort of found it satisfying in a weird way.

I think this is a hard one, and it does depend on how badly it is done and the intention.
By that I mean many people do it absent minded or because of anxiety. They don’t do it for pain or anything else. It’s just a habit.

I would say if you are doing it on purpose and doing it on purpose to a such a degree it’s damaging and beyond, then it could maybe be verging (if not fully) self harm

find something else like fiddling with a pen, hair bobble/elastic etc to stop you from doing this

Hello
It’s anxiety and a feeling of insecurity.....
I’m sorry.... it’s hurting you.
I did self harm like this since I was a young kid. I kept doing so several decades.
Now i’m not doing this anymore. For me,SSRI helped me stop it.

I've never done that before, self harmed like that. Don't know what was I thinking. It's pretty painful

Please take care of it well to prevent infection.
If it’s just only one time thing, I don’t think have to worry about it so much.
The reason why it was problematic for me was that I was suffering anxiety disorder.

Take care of it, it could be a lapse. You’re aware of it which is a good thing and you seem to want to talk about it. I denied my self harm for so long, even though it was plain as day and refused to admit it was a problem.

Hopefully this was a one off
