Is it really okay to be quiet?

People tend to think I'm snobby and a complete bitch just because I don't talk to them. They don't give me a chance most times.(Not just because I'm quiet though but also because of the way I look (but that's a whole different topic)

People judge way too much. It really bothers me that anyone would think I'm snobby and I wish they could understand how difficult it is for some people.
I have this snobby bitch thing happen instantly when people meet me.

And I'm totally the opposite.

I prefer to be quiet. I find a lot of people are against it because it doesn't give them anything to twist around.

I can do conversation, small talk etc until the cows come home. But people just tend to want that all the time so they can twist it around.

That's why they have a go at quiet people, because they can't twist anything.

And as for being quiet, what most people talk is a load of rubbish anyway and they cannot string a plain English sentence together. Most talk is running people or something down or being negative.

My mother used to be like that, she woukd want me to run one of our neighbours down or someone down on a daily basis. And when I used to say why have I got to talk about someone today she would say because I'm your Mother.

I just haven't got it in me to keep runni g people down. I prefer to be quietly positive.

I have problems at the moment with a lot of people just because I have no dribble talk to say to them.

Some people have way too much to say and if it's running people down, then I cannot be bothered.

My partners family thought and think I am a snob. He has 5 adult kids and 7 adult grandchildren. I don't go visiting with him as they are all onto me. I have enough of him onto me too. And it's all because I have things to do with my time like gardening and craft. My life doesn't consist of watching the soaps, and runni g the characters down.

I don't have tattoos either, so that's another thing I get asked about and it becomes a talking point that I'm a snob and I don't like tattoos. I do like tattoos but I just don't have any! The amount of time that has happened now, well I have lost count.

...Am I the only person who gets hurt when called quiet? Do I need to change?
Probably not and I don't believe you need to change, at all.

My one is if someone says I look 'happy'. I do have what I think appears to be a cheerful looking face but 'happy' is something I've never known. And it tells me that my real self is basically invisible to people. I could be suicidal and someone will come along and say, 'hey, you look happy today.' Wow.
