hello folks,

I am here to discuss my mental health which hasnt been good since last a year or so. I am 26 year male who got diagnosed with testicular cancer last year. My physical health is quite ok at the moment but mentally left me very weak and unfit. Apparently, this diagnosis has left me in shock and mental trauma for many months now. Also depression can be added to the list. Due to shock and fear initially I kept trying to figure out reason for getting testicular cancer.

I somehow managed to get over depression but stumbled upon anxiety that follows me everywhere. I have seen psychologist recently and has helped me with my depression. The real problem right now is that I keep getting intrusive/unwanted/negative thoughts several times a day. This also happens when I am watching television or busy with something else. I believe my psychologist is unable to help me much with OCD. I am very determined to kick this OCD out of my brain which is causing so much of anxiety and often making me feel distressed. This makes me sometimes feel very vulnerable and on the edge. For some or the other reason I cant stop thinking around this.

Please help..what should I do? Your help will be greatly appreciated. I really wish to see a day when I will be mentally and physically fit again. I never wanted to see myself in such a pathetical condition.

Yep it's tricky

I've had OCD for years, I have good days and bad days

i try to occupy my mind with reading and it does work, but i'm not always in the mood

Sometimes i try and switch my brain off and go on automatic pilot - this sometimes works to
