Or think out imaginary conversations/scenarios on your head without really paying attention to them?

Seems like this happens a lot for me. I also bit my cheeks frequently or do something else similar if I try not to think of something.

For example: I'll see a sign that says "please drive slowly, we love our children" and my brain will start repeating "we love our children, love our children, love our children, love our children" untill I notice that it's repeating and I'll stop it.

Another example would be if I hear the word vanilla I might repeat (unknowingly) "vanilla, nilla, illa ilaa Nila" etc. Maybe even turning it into a beat lol

I also frequently, if not Constantly have songs or this going on in my head. From litterally the moment I wake up. On days when I'm very irritable this bugs me a lot, on days when I'm not, it still happens but it doesn't bother me as much.

Just another thing, I will be thinking of questions about things I'm dealing with at the moment like workouts or skin issues and I will hAve to look it up and my mind is consumed by whatever I'm I guess you could say "obsessing over" (?)

I've been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and ptsd but that was a while back and they never knew about this problem.

I'm not sure if anyone can related but if anyone has any ideas that'd be great. Obviously not looking for an official diagnosis or anything but I've searched this on Google over and over without finding anything.

Any help is appreciated :)

I regularly get songs in my head and can wind myself up with them  Like, a song will suddenly pop up in my head from nowhere without me even thinking about anything to do with the song, is this what you mean?

Yes that is what I mean. I tend to say "sh" to myself when they come into my mind and they stop for a second and come right back with maybe even a different random song I haven't heard in say years.

I don't know about you but it's the voice I hear that does all the singing. He's been doing it for over three years now.

I believe everyone has an inner voice wether they talk directly to you or not.

First of all,
The question should be;
'what IS normal?',
There's no such thing!
Stop doing it!
Someone else's normal,
Might be weird to you,
Your normal,
Could be weird to them.
Everyone is different,
Thats who you are!!

I've always had songs in my head,
Never seen it as a problem,
Same with voices,
Always had them,
Got rid of the voices that i didn't want.
Just couldn't be in my body on my own.

Dont worry about the songs,
As long as they are great songs!!!
