I used to work at Sainsburys.
One time,
I was on the shop floor,
And behind me, I heard a mum tell their young child,
"Ask that man over there.",
And I'm looking for 'that man',
Then I realised she meant me.

You don't see yourself as a human? Or as a man?
Good question.

I don't know.
I don't see myself as a man.
As I see a lot of what men can do,
And I don't want to be a part of that.
I look like a human,
The reflection in the mirror shows me this,
I see and know a lot of what people don't understand,
But that doesn't make me better then them.
its like i'm hiding in sight of everybody.
trying to fit in.

i don't feel my 'age',
it feels like a long time,
But at the same time,
It doesn't.

The first time somebody referred to me as a 'lady' rather than a 'girl', it really weirded me out.
To be honest, it still does. I don't feel like a lady or woman, still feel like a girl inside really.

Weirded me out too. I thought, I'm not a lady. Still sounds quite odd to my ears now! D x
