Dear all,

I have recently been experiencing a voice. My Abilify has been increased to 25mg two weeks ago but no real improvement has taken place., Now I am considering increasing the medication to 30 mg.

Is this effective from the communities experience?

I'm a schizophrenic male, but I don't hallucinate. I don't recommend taking meds

Abilify is considered weaker in terms of improving positive symptoms. However, it certainly helped with my delusions of reference (a positive symptom) where no other antipsychotic had.

While there was a systematic review that demonstrated there is no benefit for doses over 15mg of abilify, keep in mind that people metabolise medications at remarkably different rates. There are apparently blood tests (in the states at least) that can help determine if you are a hyper metaboliser.
