Great post @Worriedyin ! I am a nutritarian myself and it has changed my life. How long have you been a nutritarian?
I'm not a nutritarian but the principles of the diet have helped me so so much! Whenever I need to lose weight, I go for the veggies and it really works.

Hi Dave. First of all, I'm so sorry you lost your dog. I know how that feels. But you've done brilliantly to start building up your strength and exercising regularly. When you have a lot of weight to lose it can be really disheartening because you don't start seeing the results you want for a long time. And it's hard to stay motivated in that situation. But you have to keep reminding yourself that even though you still feel big, you're doing so much good and preparing your body for the journey it's going to be taking.
Do you tend to go to bed late? I used to sit up all night, and I found myself eating so much junk in those hours. They longer you're awake, the more likely it is your body will want another meal. I'm still a night person, but I try to stay occupied so I don't think about food, and I don't skip any meals in the day so I'm not getting too hungry later on. Make sure you eat well during the day. Fill up on healthy, low calorie foods that you can eat as much as you like of! And make sure you drink lots of water. It's actually true that we often eat when what our body really wants is fluids. Fruits infusions are delicious and good for keeping hunger cravings at bay.

Thanks for the post about doctor Fuhrman. I see that corn chips and pop scores the least on his chart

Good to hear! Why not always eat healthy foods though? Once a month I eat unhealthy but every day it's vegetables and fruits.

I struggle to get to the shops and with food preparation when I'm not having a good day which is most of the time at the moment, so I just do what I can. Before, I used to get a veg box delivered each week and that was my main diet but I moved and don't have that anymore.

I'm sorry you lost your dog. It's hard to lose a family member. :grouphug:

I suggest only stocking your home with healthy foods. You can make healthy versions of unhealthy things. They have riced cauliflower, cauliflower pizza,

I enjoy making soups. I put all sorts of different vegetables, beans, eggs, spices. They are really filling and delicious. They are also very low cal. You can eat as much as you want.

I learned that if I eat sugar, including in fruit, I will be hungry sooner than if I just cut out sugar completely.

You are doing amazing on your journey by exercising and getting around your home. You have made great progress already! Great job!
