Hello! The reason I got here is because earlier I've always thought that I can cope with my emotions or problems myself, but recently I've noticed that I can't get ahold of it anymore and I take it all on my close friends. Besides, I'd like to talk to someone outside my circle about it, so I could have a better look on what's going on with me. I wouldn't really say that I'm a complex individual, quite vice versa, but I'm definitely struggling with something I haven't entirely figured out yet. It all comes out in frequent strokes of depression, lighter forms of self harm and a complete absence of confidence/really low self-esteem. Thus, I'm a student and I can't really afford the service of psychologists in my neighborhood, so talking out to someone who might've experienced something similar might be a great help. I will open up a bit more if someone will be ready to chat. Thank you:)

a lot of it is about self help, sometimes the only person who can help you is you, you just have to know how to, look at your inner strength your qualities, look on the net google self help.

Right, but what if I lack of self strength? I honestly just need to talk to someone, who can give me a more objective feedback on what I may do to help myself. I overanalyze everything most of the time and now I'm just tired of myself, I need help from the outside, even if it's just a random conversation. A lot of factors are form the outside too that cause this state. Thank you for a reply though!

Does your college have a mental health counsellor type person? Student welfare or whatever they decide to call it? Maybe they can help?

It can't be nice to overanalyze everything, you probably have a lot to talk about, it can be frustrating, it's not self strength it's inner strength, something we are all born with to help us overcome these emotions/depression, search & you will find.

Hi Olli,
And first off welcome here. It sounds like a very difficult and confusing time for you.
Has something recently triggered something for you that you want to talk about?
Some things are a process with ourselves and it sounds like maybe a conversation will help you for temporarily.
Maybe some rest, or something to eat, or warm tea, or a warm bath or shower.
I’m just trying to be helpful and completely understand being in need of some reassuring from others on the outside.
Sincerely,
Asmara

Mine too... over-analyzing is a nasty habit. Welcome to the forum - I hope that we are able to help you in some way, shape or form.

I tend to check this forum at the very least once a day, so feel free to send me a private message and I'll let you know when I have some time to discuss things. We've all had/are having a form of emotional/psychological/physical stress/strain; so a lot of us here will be able to relate - and help according to their unique circumstances.

Mine is obsessive compulsive disorder/panic attacks/anxiety - and things falling in that category. For some it could be schizophrenia/depression/multiple personalities/borderline personality disorder/bi-polar disorder/delusions/voices... what I'm saying here is that a lot of people struggle here... we know what it's like.

Stay strong; and talk when you need - don't overthink it, yes sometimes you can handle it on your own - but other times, as you said, it's good to share and get another perspective.
