today I got a card from my aunts son for christmas
picturing a huge stocking and a tiny Santa putting loads of things in it
I felt it was a dig at me
like I'm quite big myself and they think I am spoiled
that they do alot for me
and I should be happy to visit our addict
I'm aware this might be paranoia

Hi Zoe, sorry to just jump on I just read through this thread and wanted to share something I’m that I had heard....my ex was an alcoholic and I did so much research into addiction (I went to a meetings he didn’t and then he stopped me going but that’s a whole can o worms) one of the most helpful things I learnt was the opposite to addiction is connection..... it’s not health, it’s not withdrawl it’s connection so your brother is making good progress building some healthy bonds and your spot on that being around some people he can form connection with and relate to will help him make big strides..... by the way the support in this thread is AWSOME! You all seem like a bunch of beautiful humans!!! Just wanted to drop a line and say good luck and made me smile to see how positive your little thread is ❤
