I think I have a disorder? Help me figure this out...

I've never been diagnosed with anxiety or depression by a doctor, but I have been by my therapist. However, there are certain things I do that I think I might be overlooking or just pushing into the depression category.

My biggest problem is my procrastination. I know almost everyone procrastinates, but it's awful. I'm actually unable to do schoolwork at home! I procrastinated all through high school, but not consistently. I used to be able to finally push myself to do it, but I can't even do that now. I started thinking that maybe it's more of a problem with me getting distracted?

Can anyone relate or point me in a direction here? I do work in school, but find myself getting distracted a lot. I like doing work and I know it's right to do it, but why can't I? Also, by the slim chance I actually manage to start work at home, which is EXTREMELY rare, I don't last more than 5 minutes. FIVE MINUTES!
Please help.

You should do some manual work, like painting or DIY it helps.

I paint literally all the time. I am very involved in music and art and take a lot of mental health time for myself when I'm home because I need it. However, I'm still unhappy. I'm just very unsure as to if this is just depression or if it's something more.
Thank you though, the help is appreciated.

I live with my mother currently and I can't go without her because of my driving situation. She likes to be "in" on everything, so I highly doubt she'll let me go considering she just thinks I'm overreacting. However, I'll try to convince her. Thank you!

You think you might be suffering from mental illness and would like to see a doctor to get assessed and your mom won’t support you??😳

She may very well think you are over reacting but is she a doctor? A counsellor? A therapist? A psychologist or psychiatrist?

If the answer is no then she isn’t qualified to diagnose your condition.

try rewarding yourself after a once a week day planner for entire week doing a checklist of all of your things to do, try think of reward like a treat for forcing your self to be self discipline.
