Good news of a sort.

I hope that your dad gets some improvement in his mobility from the therapy - that would help everyone.

Yes it would. I miss dad, but TBH it is nice to have the house to myself for a few days. Hopefully he will be improved when he comes home eventually. :)

is it northwick park hospital, it's now the local a and e for my area and has a bad reputation, my neighbour gets a taxi to the one in paddington, i don't know if it applies to harrow

the gauardian played an extract of some guy complaining about northwick park and been called a racist by this radio chat show host, thought the radio guy probably pays to go private, the state of the nhs isn't a concern of his

The NHS has a lot of talented staff, but IMO the organisation could be improved. It would make sense to have a national plan for all trusts, rather than let them run themselves.

For example, with integration, we could have the same solution in all trusts. I think it would be simpler and more efficient.

yes but improvement and reorganisation are used as a cover for cuts, you only have to look at the dismantleing of the welfare state and the torys have their eye on the nhs

Any private firm would have a top down approach to all it's branches. For example each Costa branch does not have it's own individual menu. It is a standard across all of them. Makes sense for the NHS to do the same.

We went to see dad in hospital today. The doc thinks he has had a heart attack at some point. I am not sure, but thems the bosses :salut:

He seemed okay. I asked them to get rid of the wax in his ears since he can't hear very well.

Bro was there when i was visiting.

They might move him to a therapy hospital to help with his walking.
Hope he recovers well Burt.

I am buying my dad some new clothes for when he leaves the hospital:

2. Jogging bottoms (for comfort)
3. A pair of sunglasses :D
4. A blazer??

Looks badass.

I think I will go to the shops after work tomorrow and see what I can find. The stuff I had in my basket would be delivered next week sometime, probably when I am at work, so better just to get in store.

He went to the doctor today, and seemingly he suspects dementia. I have suspected this for a while now.

In the space of a few months, his health has declined rapidly.

We have to get a stairlift too since he has difficulty supporting himself.

He is also incontinent.
I am so sorry about your Dad BurtTomato. You have all my support.
