So sometimes when we try really hard to ignore thoughts they get stronger at first. But they will go away. It takes practice and it’s hard! So don’t feel bad. Instead of thinking “I’m ignoring this thought” try to distract yourself with an activity or meditate. If you start listening to him again, don’t be mad at yourself. Just gently focus back on breathing or coloring or puzzle or whatever you pick. And with some practice it will be okay you’ll learn to not give him as much attention. But give yourself time to learn.

yes an advocate can help with that
because they would insist you have proper support around it

if its not about meds, then there should be some kind of talking therapy
someone very kind to midnight with the right skills
and wont interrupt your work

some of my bizarre thoughts have gone with therapy

my work schedule is soon changing and will be even more all over the place so offline weekly therapy won't be a option :(
