I don't know if this has anything to do with OCD or anxiety, but for a few months now I've been having trouble eating due to a choking incident I had last year. I've just been focusing on how I swallow by every bite or sip of drink I take. At first I was doing good by eating and drinking things but ever since January it's gotten worse for me. When I feel it actually hit the back of my throat, I panic sometimes because it feels like I'm not ready to swallow yet or I might choke. What does this sound like exactly? I don't want to lose weight anymore and I'm speaking to my doctor tomorrow. If anyone could help me out then thanks.

Maybe it’s a tick and you should go to the doctor maybe there’s a medication that can void your thoughts about it

Hi! It sounds a lot like anxiety or stress related to the trauma of your choking accident. I think talking to a therapist rather than a general doctor would be more beneficial. In my opinion it sound more related to ptsd rather than ocd but no matter what I think it’d be good to discuss it with a professional. I hope this helps!
