I don't think I'm getting all the help I need.

I have suffered from depression and anxiety for 2 years now, I was taken off medication that was working for me about 9 weeks ago and was only recently put back on it. My depression is at an all time low but I can cope with it. The issue now is my treatment team believe I am suffering from psychosis as I have auditory and visual hallucinations and have odd beliefs. However no plan is in place to help me with this. It is definitely getti ng worse and I am not currently recieving help for it. They said to wait for my cbt appointment which isn't for 4 months. I am writing this because I fear I might get worse i the meantime.

SCG, if you are having auditory and visual hallucinations and odd beliefs, you need help now. You need to be in a safe place and on the right medications. If you are not getting help immediately, go to the hospital emergency room. Tell them what you are experiencing.

My heart goes out to you. I have schizoaffective disorder (schizophrenia plus depression), and I have been where you are. I had to get myself admitted to a mental hospital by first going to emergency three times before anyone would give me the help I needed. Sometime you need to be persistent. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Please take care of yourself. I hope you feel better soon. :hug1:

Thank you for your reply, it seems as if it will be worse in the long run for me to wait. I'll look into getting myself immediate help.
Thank you xxx
