I have no idea what to do anymore. I've tried everything and things seem to get better but then they always get worse again. It feels like nothings ever gonna get better. I have my driving test coming up in two weeks. This is my third attempt and I'm so stressed cause I feel like I'm never going to be able to do it. Everything is building up and I'm having suicidal thoughts again. I don't know what to do.

I have my driving test coming up in two weeks. This is my third attempt and I'm so stressed cause I feel like I'm never going to be able to do it.
Personally I would cancel the test until you have found a few crutches. I failed four times trying to do it when I simply wasn't up to it. Then tried again once I'd spent some time learning meditation and popped a beta blocker two hours before the test.
What are your symptoms?

Do you need your license urgently?

Worrying about something coming up can be a trigger for suicidal thoughts, something we wish we didn't have to go through. 3 is not many ;) i won't tell you how many i had!

Can you accept that things are hard and always will be, so that you must just look after yourself and rest? This is what i have done. I don't try to escape now or dream of escape, i just accept it is hard and so take my time through life, keep clean and well fed, get fresh air.

It is sunny and warm today, have you been out?

Somebody told me once that it wasn't anxiety it was butterflies. I don't know if that is a better way of looking at it.

Is anxiety adrenaline, which helps us focus and perform better? Like catch the tiger, thinking of cavemen?

If i have a test, i do breathing exercises to calm my heart rate. Once you get there, you do it, you pass or fail, you go home. Everything is a learning experience. The more tests you take, the better you will be, it is experience. We keep going forwards until we get to where we want to go. You will pass one day, just keep trying.

Do you drink and eat caffeine? This makes anxiety much worse.

Thank you, yes it's been nice weather today so been out for a walk :)

have a coffee in the mornings and that's it. I didn't really think that would affect me
Yes coffee for sure makes anxiety a lot worse. It is also in chocolate ( don't worry you won't have to give it up completely...just eat it occasionally when you haven't got anything going on in your day). Also in black tea, green tea and some caffeinated fizzy drinks. Decaf coffee and decaf tea also has a little caffeine in it because it's difficult to extract all the caffeine out. I would cut out all caffeine for a week and see how you feel.

Also another short term goal for anxiety is to take a good quality multivitamin and mineral tablet with high B5 in it. It is very good for stress and the nervous system. Go to a health food shop or buy online would be best. Biocare do a good B complex tablet and viridian do one called High 5 and magnesium tablets. Solgar is also a good make. I wouldn't bother with a chemists choice.

I have lot's more long term advice but will have to come back in a bit.

Better to get a multivitamin and mineral tablet with high B5 or a B complex Vitamin tablet.

Is there something specific that is causing you to have the beginnings of suicidal thoughts?

It helps me to write a list of everything that is worrying me and then try and solve some of the problems.

If thoughts get too bad, it is important to get help, but are you managing at the moment?

Medication helps stop my mood from going too far down, have you had any treatment?

Sunshine and vitamins and those types of things help so much when things are just about manageable. Fish oils/oily fish are good for mood.

Good advice. JOURNALING is supposed to be a very helpful therapy for people with anxiety and depression.
