I can't sleep and starting to loose control over my thoughts. It's a slippery slope and I'm just looking for a distraction. Someone to tell me it's going to be okay.

I experienced sleeplessness too. Just talk to your doctor. He would probably give you sleeping pills and it should be okay. After a while, you may not need them again.

Thanks your message. It's the thoughts slipping into anxiety that really get me. Any tips on reigning in my thoughts, taking back control. I'm getting agitated and restless and breathing too fast.

Can you explain to me how you are losing control of your thoughts. What is actually happening?

I'm losing the ability to think straight and starting to have paranoid thoughts, jealous thoughts. Brain going at 100miles an hour. Thoughts of suicide.

can you tell me what triggers your paranoid thoughts. Do you hear people making fun of you or talking about you? Are you able to know when you are paranoid? Also for the suicidal thoughts, it is one thing to want to actually commit suicide and it is another thing to have suicidal thought when you do not want to commit suicide. which one is it? I experienced both. luckily, I am still alive and I don't have those thoughts anymore. In both cases though, you have to talk to your doctor to work on changing your medication to a more powerful one or increasing your dose or counseling. As you get better, the suicidal thoughts will go.

Thanks goldfish, paranoid thoughts are mainly me thinking that people are saying the things to eachother that I say to myself, about myself (all damning and negative). My meds have just been increased and I'm being assessed for therapy of some kind. I find the evening and night time really tough. And I'm bored of my own voice going over the same thing to Samaritans. Suicidal thoughts escalate from feeling it may be a solution to planning/preparing and writing notes.

The way I handled my paranoid thoughts is to know that they are not real. okay? when you are paranoid, just know it is your condition that is causing it. just have an understanding of that. Never think people are talking negative things about you, anytime you feel that way, just tell yourself that it is your condition that is making you feel that way. Just trust that people are not saying things to each other about you. After a while of practicing this, you will stop feeling paranoid. Anytime, it just happens, you first thoughts will be, it is just paranoia and you will have control of it. you will stop feeling it.
As for the suicidal thought, I understand where you are coming from, I have written suicide notes too, planned them and much more and thought that was the only solution to the unimaginable hell that I was going through. However, it gets better with time. okay? Just be patient and take you drugs. Change your drugs if it is not working for you. Try to go out more. try the gym, try church. you can even start any kind of easy to do job if you not working. these are part of the recovery process. take baby steps to start living your life again and your suicidal thoughts will most likely go away with time. If you have dreams and you are creative, get a book and pen and start writing down your ideas. Don't commit suicide. okay? I don't have suicidal thoughts anymore. I even now have dreams of starting a company and even becoming richer than bill gates and jeff bezos and I am not joking and I am working on it now and plan on starting the company latest by the later parts of 2020 with realistic goals.
