Not sure if this should go here but here it goes.
I am really overweight for my age. I used to be very skinny in 2nd grade but then by 4th grade, I became fat and "chubby". And I continued to gain weight.
I binge eat a lot, even when I'm not hungry. I don't know how to stop it. I tried dieting and exercising but I fail to continue them. It feels too difficult. I tried to starve myself but it hasn't helped me to lose weight so I resorted to eating more. I feel so bad in my body.
Also my parents keep reminding me to lose weight. For example, they will say things like "don't get fatter, you won't fit into this dress" or "you should have this, it will help you lose weight". I try to take it optimistically but it does hurt. I have told them to stop but they haven't.
I know it doesn't seem so serious, but I just felt like letting my feelings out.

I think what you are going through does sound serious. I am sorry your parents are not understanding. Their comments are likely to cause you to eat more. Have you ever heard of binge eating disorder? It could explain what you are going through. It is an eating disorder that needs treating. I do not know if you are an adult but is it possible for you to see a therapist who specialises in this? I have had therapy for it and it helped me a lot. I was unable to stop the binging on my own.

n yeah that affects our self esteem when people talk like that
maybe you could write your parents a letter about it ?

you could post the letter on here
for people to comment or add to
before you give it to them

Keep using your voice until your parents stop. Be assertive about it.

You say you eat/binge when you're not hungry. What is the feeling that you're trying to feed?

Whenever I feel sad, lonely, etc. or when I get a craving for a certain kind of food. I don't know if there is a feeling behind it. I guess it's like comfort eating, it makes me feel better in a way.

Is there another way you can self-soothe doing something else you like? Do you have someone like a counselor you can talk to about your sadness or loneliness? You can always come here to talk.

Btw, you say you know it doesn't seem so serious...remember, it's serious to you and that's what matters.
