I am sick of caring about things that don't directly affect me?

Yet I don't know how to lust stop caring. And the more I want to stop caring the worse it gets. So I am not sure what to do or if I just have to learn to live with it.

Can you make yourself stop caring about a particular issue or does it just come naturally?

Depending on what it is, I would say it will come naturally. Sometimes you just well forget or you don't even notice anymore.

I hope so.

I just have to stop over-thinking about things some how. If I was to read this post a few years ago I would say then just stop thinking about it, it is as simple as that.

But for some reason (I am not really sure why) I can't at the minute.

I used to ruminate a lot, but found that the best antidote was to get stuck into some creative or physical activity. I also attended occupational therapy groups for things like art, gardening, etc.
