i haven't even done anything close. That is a beautiful, brave, kind and giving thing to do for someone. I hope underneath all your current feelings you are able to feel proud of yourself for that. I can understand why it might cause an intense feeling for you now though, i can understand being scared. Perhaps there is a forum out there for people who have donated organs where you can find people who have shared this experience. i do not know i'm afraid. i wish you best of luck and health, happiness and peace for yourself and for the person who is lucky enough to receive your kidney

New here, but recently had surgery last year although not as complex as this.

Personally I think its a very brave decision to be very proud about. All I will say is that any negative effects for you are hopefully very short lived and only as a result of the surgery itself. I think the positives of your goodwill will outweigh any short-term negatives.

Wish you both all the best.

i went on the organ donors list decades ago, one neighbour said if i have an accident they may say this guys life isn't worth living but his organs could help a lot of people and that may effect how strongly they fight to save my life

one women said who'd want your organs they're so full of drugs

not happy about my brain, it'll probably be something they're interested in, and if consciousness resides in the brain and theres some rudimentary consciousness

Thanks for sharing; i believe when the agencies says 'the safety and life of the donor is considered of utmost priority in case of an accident or danger' do not let people derail if you make your mind to do something as noble as that. I wish u well
