So I’m writing a community grant for school and basically the foundation funding the grant is all about helping the community so I was thinking about doing something to related so I thought that maybe I could write a grant in order to financially support an organization that offers support groups and free mental health help in my community but, I don’t know if this is a good idea or not...

Hey there @Karafurushi 🖐

Writing a one-page brief outlining your ideas, goals, rationale and desired outcome would be a good start.

Also, focus on the amount you think you'll need; don't be too analytical at this point as it'll change over time.

You'll need a mission statement including your values, and if you need to do any research or focus groups to gain info from the community.

A time frame isn't essential, but could be a driving force to keep you going.

Don't forget to dot point! Rambling notes can cause confusion. Edit each point as necessary.

Do any of these suggestions help?
