I am literally on the verge of ending this, I don’t understand why I should stick around when all my head is telling me to do is end it, I’m 18 but the hard thing about going along is the pain it will cause my family, I just want them to know I’m happy that it will be over, should I write a letter? This world just isn’t for me

Thats what keeps me going. Think about them, the hurt will kill them, they would never get over it.
What support do you have around you? Are you under the mental health teams?
Please keep talking

No you need to ask for help.
Start by going to see your doctor they can refer you to the relevant talking therapies/support groups that can then help you get out of this.
When there is no one around thats when i turn to the forum and ask for support from members here.
Suicide is a last resort. It devastates those that are left. You need to tell yourself this to keep yourself alive. You can get better with the right support around you

I’m ready to go:(

I remember a quote that I read somewhere, and it says "suicide doesn't end pain, it only transfers pain". I may go one step further and say that it amplifies the pain to all the people around you.

Ask your family for support, seek professional attention, join community groups, you can get over this, don't let it defeat you :)

Don't

Please ask for help! My brother killed himself when he was 18. You cannot possibly imagine the pain your family will go through. My father said he thought a "heartbreak" was a figure of speech before - but that he felt it now. Don't start playing with the thought. Or, rather, stop playing with the thought.
I know it is very difficult to work the courage and motivation up, to open up about this and ask for real life help. And probably costly too. I am here for the same reason. I absolutely cannot follow my brother's footsteps, and you neither.
Be strong!
Hugs!

Hi,
It might get better, you have to have hope.
I have improved and I hope that happens to you too.
Please call 111 if your in the UK and tell them how your feeling, you can go to A/E or call your crisis team if your under one.
Please get help.
The Samaritans are very good listeners.

Glad you have your girlfriend, teach her about depression. Get her to look up depression and research it, it will help you both.
I'm here to listen.
Take care

Hi Rasty,
Sorry for your loss, here to listen. My grandad committed suicide when I was 12.
Take care

Darling just hang on in there, your not alone. Its easier to just end things, and yes it might like you've had enough. But I think your stronger than what you are giving yourself credit for.
Go slowly, take everything one thing/day at a time. You,ll then realize that YOU are able to do this. xo
