I’m only 21 but I’m physically and mentally not there anymore. My mind has gone from stress and alcoholism, my body is weak, I’ve got a herniated disc in my lower back that needs surgery, my face is all wonky from breaking my mandible, cheek and nose in car accident, my hairs already receded and thinned extremely far back, I generally just look like shit and my anxiety makes me act abnormally. Any advice anyone?

At 21, your body will recover bro. Give it some time.

When I was in my 20s and the times I was unattractive (due to med weight gain), I used to read and read. Books can be a nice escape, and you can learn things.

Aw you’re not an old man. I hope that surgery helps your back! Don’t worry about looks. We’re our own worst critics. Others don’t see us the way we see ourselves. They don’t see the flaws we see.

Well are you able to stop the drink? Because that is the key to the rest isn't it? It takes about 6 months for the effects of alcohol to leave and a clear picture of your mental health to emerge. It does not sound like you are off it or not too long off the stuff. Might there be a medical reason for your hair thinning? How about getting a GP to do an MOT on you?

Dont fret too much, and I agree with lord burt. Also, I too, suffer from this early age anxiety and stress, where my teeth have fallen out and the works. Life is not easy for us, so we gotta keep it together and stick together. Our body is all we have in this life, and its our job to guide the body through this life. If your getting signs from your body to do something differently, try to be in the awareness of that, that way you can adapt to the changing winds; day to day. Get in a good habit, a good routine, and manage only what you are capable of- in other words, the present moments things- that which you in enjoy! Hope that helps.
