I had hypnotherapy for anxiety a few weeks ago and it didn't work for me at all. It didn't have any negative side effects so I would think it is safe to try. I think it works if you believe it will and I was a bit doubting about it.

My hypnotherapist was very professional & it helped a lot, but it did cost a lot £50 an hour.

Hi Cpt-Stunning did you believe hypnotherapy could work
before you started.?

How many sessions did you have?
Do you think it may need a “top up” every so often to
keep working.

I’m so glad it worked for you.

Just wanted to say that my hypnotherapist helped me a lot for the long run, but in the short run my anxiety was much worse, but it quickly went away(about a week or so). I think I was just anxious since it was the first time I talked my DPD officially to someone

HI: How many sessions did you have that didn't work? Sometimes it takes several sessions to find the cause of the anxiety, process the experience(s) and release it and then, devise new beliefs and behavior to deal with life instead of resorting to anxiety. That is the only way I know that hypnosis works.

I used to see a hypnotherapist right after my grandmother died because consequently, during the same time, my mood problems really started to take hold and my already present hallucinations and delusions skyrocketed and really started to become a struggle. She helped me, at least, temporarily deal with the increasingly out of control feelings of being watched. In short, she taught me to begin attempting to associate negative feelings and what not with more heartwarming causes such as my grandma watching over me is the reason why I am feeling watched. During that time, it really helped and allowed me to cope better with her passing and my issues. Now, that doesn't work as well, but I haven't seen my hypnotherapist in 6 years since she moved.
