Hi R_Sxo,


2nd day this week, and I have managed to get another workout done - acheived. This consisted of traditional aerobics (can't name drop presenter's name) i hadn't worked out to this one, not in a long long time.
And, my brand new contemporary dance workout dvd, dance mixed with fitness moves, picture a main lead, from 1980's films sequels, Rocky, those kind of fitness moves thrown into the workout dvd.


I must make mention, i need to assist mum at all, times, sometimes, I am an easier option, for her, then dad, so I won't be really able to enjoy the holiday as much, she has problems, about open plan spaces, to walk on long in. And also to asist, from getting up from sitting down, in cars, out in the other country.


To be quite honest? Definitely prefer crusing, me, and no, not because of Jane McDonald, because, they don't take off, unlike planes, i always never do like, take off, bankign not so bad, and landing, mind you sometimes, I'm sleeping whilst touching down, landing, I don't even notice, we're on ground, either for over there, or over here.


I am going to try to cut down, on fizzy drinks, on board on cruise, however, juices, can't be covered on their pre paid unlimited refill scheme for across each day and evening. I'm going to ask parents, what to do abou that as it might not be covered, for the pre payment scheme card. Oh, it's worthwhile indeed, especially, what with my nasal passeges, at times, and also, preparing for my speech whilst away to be understood, and mental health to keep well, and do coping stratergies, I am always getting thirstier, through the day and evening, so the card scheme is very worthwhile.


When and whilst on occasions, mum will be settled somewhere on board oncruise, I'll ensure, I have much coping stratergy time as possible.

Hi Folks,


Thankfully and luckily i managed to sleep all night from up for a short moment once, and woke up from a very deep sleep at 7am. So that annoyingly meant, I couldn't then workout. Sigh.


I am now hoping to get a workout done tomorrow, if not then Saturday earlier in the morning, before parents are up.


My diet management is going very well, indeed.

Pleasantly surprised to hear that you're crushing these workouts - keep it up!x

Of course, looking after your mother is very important - you're doing a great job of looking after her from what you've said here!

The cruise should be good - of course, being clear about the payment card helps - don't want to find yourself out of funds 3 days into the trip haha! Practising coping strategies will help you to get better at them, so this is a good trial run :)

Good to hear that you're sleeping and eating well recently too!x

Hello gym people!! I am new and a huge fitness/gym addict. Mostly powerlifting type stuff (squats, deadlifts, etc...) strength training is the love of my life:clap:

Welcome to the thread.

I am afriad I am not in gym, for one thing being, they heavily so committed on people being members!!! I have problems other than mental health issues, and also if i volunteer, I am on call, and then I am worn out from volunteering and travelling, there goes the money of the member ship lost. So therefore, I prefer to have to pay nothing whereby, I workout to fitness dvds, such as low impact traditional aerobics, keeping one foot down on the ground at all times, if there's running on the spot, due to my weaker legs now, I'lljus tmarch, and also I'll workout to fun, comptemporary dance dvd and also fun hard dance mix with fitness steps dvd.


Sometimes within the same session, otherwise, i might just workout due to time factors, one dvd workout.


I am sure in due course, that the owner of this thread, this isn't mind, I have had strong interests in diet and fitness for many years, so appealed to me, that the owner of this thread will be only too delighted to welcome you aboard, to How to Lose Weight.

Oh yes, i will do my chair fitness dvd workouts also. if I can't or unable to do a full workout beyond my control within at home, which is point, that tomorrow, and I have had a heavy meal this evening, I might well chair fitness workout.


I hope i' haven't continued on for too long, once again, welcome aboard to this thread.

Hi Folks,

I can't bend too low in order to pick up a shopping item for a lower self, which is bang on the floor level on the floor itself, not easily bending no, is there some form of fitness, or s tretching movements, I could do in th e meantime, in advance of shopping, so that when at shopping, or in volunteering for that matter, i should be then be able to bend lower, easier or much easier, I am just wondering if there are any fitness tricks, I could do?

Therefore, which is good, because about 5.30am or so, I'll get a long session of traditional low impact aerobics, and a long fun hard dance workout dvd done, not the newer dvd, I don't wish to tire myself out.


Apart from the paranoia problems as of overnighters, I am fine, no o ther major ailments problems occurring.

Hi R_Sxo, youi won't understand, I always just lately count the number of overnighters, I sleep very well, o rnot very well at all, well, overnight today number 3, I am up earlier, so I thought right, I'll get a workouit done.
it's the problem of paranoia, I know, I always have the impression that people are talking about me, when presumably they are not, and in particular, feels like via our holiday destinations locations, coming up, in advance and in time, for March holiday trip.

It's far too cold, plus my ankles are painful, so I can't workout for this morning. I forgot that parents will be out during the day, so during the day, I'll do hopefully a workout then, otherwise, chair fitness much later on in the day, way before the evening meal.

Now, not literally, I am thinking/planning to take a fun, dance dvd out with me on holiday, vacation, to workout to, out there, this will be that if by chance, there just might be a dvd unit set in the suite room, it's a double suite room, so I'll have my own set, and hopefully, a large enough area, to move about in. I'll take the dvd out with me, and once I'll be aware of the floor layout plan, if i'll have enoiugh of a big enough area, for where the dvd unit might be, so I'll take my chances.


Off course, I'll be stretching also, there's nothing not anything like, having terrible stiff legs, throughout the day, or at the ending of the day, before the evening.

Hope you're doing well!

I have a similar issue, as do many other people - it's quite common! It's because of a weak lower back, or tight lower back muscles - for me, it's the latter. Either way, doing exercises that stretch and relax your lower back regularly seem to remedy the issue.

The other thing you could do is yoga. People often use that in order to be able to touch their toes from a standing position, so that could help too!x

I'm having a little trouble understanding what you're saying - not sure what you mean by "counting overnighters"?! Sorry to hear that you haven't been sleeping well recently - what do you normally do to ease the paranoia and help you sleep better?

Hope your ankles aren't too bad - be gentle with them while they recover! If you don't feel you're up to it today because of them, it's better to give them a rest than risk injuring them furtherx

Glad to see you're planning ahead! Perhaps you could enquire beforehand to see if they do - I'm sure they wouldn't mind! Or you could use the gym facility there (if there is one) - many gym facilities will have a DVD player!x

I am sorry that I wasn't clearer. I had been counting the nightime sleeping habits, because yet again, over the past week, I would be waking up earlier than normal. So i was therefore counting the number of nights, i had broken or disruptive sleep on, that's all i meant.


The thouight did cross my mind, in terms of not being able to bend low, to pick up an item right down at supermarket floor level literally, that stretches did come to mind, you'll enoucourage me to do that, now. Not literally, now. in due course.


When the better weat her comes, Yoga might be something i'll wish to try, thoiugh, mind you, if there won't be difficult moves, that I shan't be able to cope with. I'll have to enquire at my centre, in North West London, whether if they still do Yoga Classes.


I shall see if i can watch a Yoga Class first, before trying.


My sleeping overall has improved, so I'm not too worried about my paranoia, levels, mind you, easier said then done, i basically just listen to music, all day, and all evening when based in at home, and also when I can, chair fitness, or do a normal workout in the day time, to help me sleep better at night. Sometimes, paranoia around 4a m, will just suddenly "bang" there it goes, to shock start in my system to wake me up at that juncture.

Hi Folks,

Just couldn't workout today. The weather for internal indoor purposes, was very very cold, and I didn't like to catch one, of a bad turn either. I might get my chair fitness done, later on today.

I just realised to say, that having checked what time Yoga is, at my centre, in the North West of London, it's at a imposslbe time. Because i could either be volunteering and then lunch, or not based theer at all, so the time is not preferred in this instance.

I happened to have read an a feature on line, to do with Raynould's condiiton, now, ordinarily during the Spring and even Summer and Autumn, where we do have cooler duller days, I like to workout, and as an added boost for my circulation.

However, for a couple of reasons, holiday, I'm only tempted to get more working out done, knowing we're off in a few days, and also, the temperatures for indoor working out in this present spell of weather, isnt' constusive enough, so on that note... roll on Spring/Summer.

HI R-Sxo,

I'm pleased to report, that I having been assisted, via my weigh in check, at home via mum this morning, I am weighing... hovering around 9 and a half stone. So for the time being, I am pleased I am not 10st, anymore now.


The more I am thinking, themore I feel, I'll most likely will take my fitness workout chair fitness segment dvd with me. Consideirng just in case, there might not be enough room in the hotel suites, we will bein, I figured that the chair based fitness will be the best option, and off course, walking, though, on occasions, throughout the holiday, I'll need to assist mum, and also we are slow walkers, in that r espect, so I can't double up and go into my power walking, and be yards ahead of parents, can't do that, no more, as mum is a slow walker, and dad assisting her, so I need to be close by, dad has to know where i am, as, ah, back in 2004, overehre, I happened quite inadvertantly no intentions, of, disspearred off, the home radar. To cut a long story short.

So i won't be able to walk fast then them now, anymore.


i will do my utmost, to pop an update on to this thread, when able to do so., whilst away on hols.
