How to help my boyfriend with BPD feel loved?

Hey! First time poster here, so sorry if the formatting is weird or I’m not doing a kind of forum-tradition.

To start off, I do not have BPD, my boyfriend does. I love him very, very much, and want him to be aware of this. However, he struggles to believe it, and we are both searching for a way to help him believe that I do indeed love him. He feels unlovable, and that I could never love him, so therefore he can’t believe that I do, even though I very much do love him. I do my best to research and understand BPD as best as I can, despite not having it. I try my best to be there for him as much as I can be, too.

It breaks my heart, and I wanna hep in any way that I can. Would anyone happen to how we can work towards helping him believe I do? What’s the first step? Where do we go from there? Do any of you guys have similar experiences?
