my family is abusive and they genuinely believe that if you have depression it's because of your phone or that doing yoga can fix it. they are no help to me and will isolate me further than i already am if i press the matter. they refuse to give me control of my own money, i have no privacy or financial independence.
bpd makes my life hell, it feels like i can't be around people but if i'm not around my boyfriend (who is the reason why im making this post) i'll die. i love my boyfriend so much but when i get upset i get really upset and nothing consoles me. he doesn't know what to do and i don't know what will make me feel better , it means i'm upset amd violently suicidal 9 times out of 10 when we talk to each other. i've tried breaking up with him more times than i can count because i'm scared of hurting him, my erratic actions make me act like im insane and i cant control it, foes anyone have coping tips?

Look up DBT workbooks. Meditation. I listen to classical music on my earbuds during the day (and night while I sleep), or distract myself with online youtube videos about stuff I'm interested in like greek mythology, occult science, philosophy and astronomy/astrology. You need to figure out something else you can fixate on. Keep a journal and write in it everyday, poems or your feelings.

Try to go take evening walks and try to enjoy nature, I know it's hard. They really help me. I don't know why, but I hate walking in the morning. I usually go around 7pm right before dark. Yoga is good, but if it's something you aren't interested in, then I think walks are sufficient. A lot of people look down on New Agers, but they do have a lot to offer BPD community as long as you don't let it go to your head and push it on everybody. Spirituality is good for you.

I'm not a professional. These are just things I've tried on my own that really help, and vibrational sound therapy etc. Also, being online, social media, or technology 24/7 is not good for us.

Hope this helps. I know it's not much, but if you're looking for something until you can see a therapist, this is what I did, and do. It's very hard to really be able to implement anything when you're upset. Take a hot bath or shower w/ candles and calm down, and then think of solutions.
