Does schizophrenia stop you from living your dreams or following your goals? If so, how does it.

I think I developed different goals
I lost most of my career goals
but I have done other things on my bucket list
which were easier with schizophrenia going on

I'm just not career minded any more
I feel I have had an exciting life
sometimes tragic , but certainly not a waste

Do you have paranoid schizophrenia? Do you fear for your life?

If I pushed for new diagnosis my doctor may say I'm schizophrenic or at least borderline but for now I've only had a diagnosis of psychosis and I'm a persistant voice hearer.

If anything my voice is effecting my concentration so working and learning to drive are difficult for me.

I get intrusive thoughts and images in my mind while driving and my voice wants constant attention so my focus is divided even though I've not said a word to him for three years.

If it has been going on for over six months more than likely you have schizophrenia.

Just over three and a half years I've been hearing this voice, four years in Feb 2020 :(

But my last psychotic episode was in summer 2016, since I've been on meds I haven't had a relapse.

I did fear for my life and that of my family when I was going through psychosis, my voice told me people were coming to hurt us all. I now know this was a lie just like most things my voice tells me, he's a pathological and compulsive liar.

It can be tough, but it can also make you stronger. I feel that people do not like to talk about it. My solution is to make my life a success and force the issue.

After diagnosis I feel really good once I got free of symptoms. Got to a dr relatively fast. Had other issues too that were mistreated but after hospital stay got with psych and a therapist who really invested in my recovery. Don’t hear voices or have delusions anymore feel really good about myself and never really feel low anymore I think once I got on my med regimen it cut down on lot of things was dealing with since childhood so the break and subsequent diagnoses were a godsend. Atm I work and attend school and while I was never sure career wise what would make me happy and always stressed out about it, went through school aimlessly, finally on the right path and never felt better :p Don’t worry or feel low anymore and while I’m a late starter I’m getting there and so I am happy

When you fulfil your potential - you will see the past, future and present as the same. You will sense other realms. You will feel and hear other people yet comprehend it. This is your destiny.
